 Internet radio, although being available for over a decade, is now becoming increasingly popular due to the wide abundance of broadband internet connections available.
Although to some it sounds like an alien concept, it's fairly easy to understand the mechanics of internet radio broadcasting.
There are many different flavors of internet radio available, but radio24 relies on a program called SHOUTcast. Simply the server is configured to become a receiving port of call to a DJ. The DJ "connects" to the server through a specialised program for DJing and the audio gets sent through the internet to the server, and that audio is freely available to be listened by you LIVE!
